Hawks First Down Club Scholarship

The Hawks First Down Club is proud to sponsor scholarships in the amount of $500.00 for the 2004-2005 school year.

This scholarship is open to all senior football players who meet the eligibility requirements as set forth below

Eligibility Requirements

Scholarship applicants must be a 2005 graduating Birdville High School student.

Scholarship applicants must have attended Birdville High School their entire senior year.

Scholarship applicants must complete the scholarship application and turn in to the scholarship committee on or before December 13, 2004.

Scholarship applicants must maintain academic eligibility for the duration of the football season.

In addition to the scholarship application, the applicant is to provide an essay of 300-500 words on the subject of “Personal Growth: From the Football field to the Real World”. Essay is to be type written, double spaced, using “Times New Roman” font size 12.

The scholarship must be used for the purpose of study at an accredited college, university, or technical school.

The scholarship is payable directly to the college, university, or technical school account upon written request from the Hawks First Down Club Treasurer.

Recipients will be announced during the Football Varsity/JV Banquet on January 22, 2005.

Recipients must provide written notice of acceptance of this scholarship to the Hawks First Down club Executive Board, on or before February 4, 2005. Failure to provide such notice will result in the scholarship being awarded to the next applicant on the ranked list.
